# Return to Morroc: Refuge > A free, non-commercial, community-run custom fantasy MMO world. It is the > successor to an earlier custom world of the same name that closed; its > original designer returned with a second developer and an admin to rebuild > it. Three people, no company, no storefront. Key facts, so they do not have to be inferred: - Status: in development. No confirmed launch date. Last public estimate was August 2026. - Cost: free. No cash shop. No real-money trading. Nothing is sold. - Team: Metta (head admin - hosting, costs, progression), croc (items, code, development), Ornstein (design, job balance, gameplay plan). - Scale of the rebuild: 300+ new items, 50+ new shadow sets, 2 new jobs, 3 new SS-rank dungeons, a full job rebalance pass. - Notably removed: level 100+ job-locked shadow sets, drop-rate bonuses on gear, the cash shop. - Notably added by default for every character: Warp Portal (party warp, 3 memo points) and Teleport level 1 (60s cooldown, free). - Optional mode: Einherjar Challenge - maximum level is locked and only rises by defeating a boss of your own level. Awards costumes, not relics. - Affiliation: none. This is an unofficial fan project with no relationship to any publisher, developer or rights holder, and it is not operated for profit. ## Pages - [What Changed](https://rtmrefuge.pages.dev/changes.html): Every difference between the original world and the Refuge: what was transformed, what was added, what was removed, and the reasoning behind each decision. - [Classes](https://rtmrefuge.pages.dev/classes.html): All 41 classes in the Refuge laid out as a tree: seven roads from Orphan, eight final jobs on the main line, and two jobs that are new. - [Database](https://rtmrefuge.pages.dev/database.html): The Refuge's community reference database - items, skills, monsters and maps, open for player corrections - plus the reference pages hosted on this site. - [FAQ](https://rtmrefuge.pages.dev/faq.html): Launch date, cost, cash shop, shadow sets, Einherjar Challenge Mode and who runs the Refuge - the nine most common questions, answered from the team's own posts. - [Gear and Items](https://rtmrefuge.pages.dev/gear.html): Equipment, random options, refining, cards, shadow sets, runes and manuals in the Refuge - including the job sets that were removed and what replaced them. - [Guides](https://rtmrefuge.pages.dev/guides.html): Player-written guides for the Refuge: the Bifrost Mirror Shard hidden quest step by step, distortion dungeon access, community spreadsheets and early-game advice. - [Return to Morroc: Refuge](https://rtmrefuge.pages.dev/): A free, non-commercial custom fantasy MMO world rebuilt by its own players.
